June in the Princelings world

It’s been quietish since the launch of Willoughby the Narrator.  We had a few sales to people already up with the series, and Rebecca has kindly reviewed it.  We had many more people download book 1, which continues to attract attention on all platforms, especially on iTunes.  I sometimes wonder whether it is a good shop window for the rest of the series.  My writing has certainly evolved since then, and so has the Princelings world.

Talking of which, book 8 is ready to go to my lovely editor.  The Princelings of the North features Dylan at his irrepressible best, Dougall, steady and reliable as always, and Prince Kevin, exiled by his uncle Lord Colman, and finally realising what an idiot he’s been.  He’s erratic – not surprising after all he’s been through – and he wants his castle back.  I love it, but then I always love the latest one.

I’ve updated the page on Short Stories here to include the developments over the last two years. It’s a large body of work now.

A little glimpse of the future comes out on Friday 16th June in the form of a flash fiction story on the blog.  The Thief of the Moon has both Fred doing his natural philosophy explanations and Willoughby telling a story.  Enjoy!

December on the Princelings website

It’s been quiet on here since August, when Bravo Victor went live in all ebook stores.  The books have been entered for various awards, without being selected, and I’ve been busy with other projects, including the Book Elves Anthology and the goodies I’ve got in store for you next month.

From Monday 1st December, for four weeks, you have a completely new set of stories written for you for the holiday season.  It’s called the Yuletide Narrathon, and, as you probably know, a Narrathon is a story-telling marathon in the realms.  Most castles have one during their Yuletide Festival.  After last year’s encounter with King Fred, Willoughby has managed to get himself a nice little engagement at Castle Marsh, and he’ll be narrating four of his winter stories for you, here, from next Monday.

Also during this Narrathon I’ll be having some extra special goodies as prizes in a Giveaway for you.  The sort of prizes that are completely unique to this website!  And probably signed by me, to you.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our American readers, and happy holidays to everyone else.

What do you want for Christmas?

With only two months to go till we the end of November, I’m starting to think about Christmas on the blog and website.

Last year I did a series of guest posts from characters talking about the Yuletide celebrations at their castles.  That was on the blog.  On here you had an exclusive three-part story about the Princelings of the North, Dylan and Dougall.

This year I’m thinking of doing just Christmas themed posts through December on the blog.  Haikus, Christmas stories, making the flash fiction wintry enough, that sort of thing.  Here… well, what would you like?  A new story?  Character interviews? Something else?  Maybe a giveaway?

Just let me know in the comments below!
